Selection and Installation Notes
These aR fuses provide partial-range short-circuit protection and do not provide full-range overload protection. Review the selected model's time-current curve, I²t values, circuit time constant and mounting requirements against the equipment design before ordering.
The manufacturer recommends sustained current no higher than 80% of the fuse's rated current. Ambient temperatures above +40°C require current correction. Operation outside normal conditions, within the permitted −40°C to +85°C ambient range and up to 4500 m altitude, requires review of the manufacturer's correction guidance.
For stud installation, insertion must not exceed 11 mm. Prevent the stud from rotating while tightening the nut; the specified M12 nut tightening torque is 46 ±2 N·m. Check the manufacturer's dimensional drawing and maintain the required electrical clearances.
The datasheet also documents a −N suffix for versions without the visual indicator and its base. Those configurations require a separate RFQ and are outside the standard-model selection shown above.
